Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz chilled sparkling wine or prosecco
  • 2 oz fresh pink grapefruit juice
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1 thin slice of pink grapefruit, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Chill your champagne flutes or glasses before starting.
  2. Pour 2 ounces of fresh pink grapefruit juice into each chilled glass.
  3. If you prefer a sweeter drink, add 0.5 ounce of simple syrup to the juice.
  4. Slowly top the juice with 4 ounces of chilled sparkling wine or prosecco. Pour down the side of the glass to preserve the bubbles.
  5. Gently place one thin slice of pink grapefruit on the rim or inside the glass for garnish.
  6. Serve this easy mimosa recipe immediately.

Notes

  • To make this a mocktail, substitute the sparkling wine with chilled sparkling water or non-alcoholic sparkling cider.
  • For the best flavor, use freshly squeezed pink grapefruit juice.
  • Adjust the ratio of juice to wine based on your preference for tartness.
