Ingredients
Scale
1.5 lb salmon fillets, skin on or off
1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed
3 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried ginger
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 lemon, cut into wedges for serving
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, dried ginger, and black pepper to create the glaze.
Place the salmon fillets on one side of the prepared baking sheet. Place the trimmed asparagus on the other side.
Brush half of the honey garlic glaze evenly over the salmon fillets.
Drizzle the remaining glaze over the asparagus spears, tossing lightly to coat.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the salmon, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork and the asparagus is tender-crisp and slightly charred.
Serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges.
Notes
For extra char on the asparagus, you can briefly place the pan under the broiler for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
This recipe works well for spring meal prep; store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
