- 2 oz blanco tequila
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 1 oz guava nectar
- 0.5 oz orange liqueur
- 0.25 oz simple syrup
- 4 fresh mint leaves
- Lime wheel and mint sprig for garnish
- Coarse salt or sugar for rim (optional)
- If using a rim, rub a lime wedge around the edge of your glass and dip it into salt or sugar.
- Place the mint leaves and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Gently muddle the mint to release its oils.
- Add the tequila, lime juice, guava nectar, and orange liqueur to the shaker.
- Fill the shaker with ice.
- Seal the shaker and shake well until thoroughly chilled, about 15 seconds.
- Strain the mixture into your prepared glass filled with fresh ice.
- Garnish with a lime wheel and a fresh mint sprig.
Notes
- For a sweeter drink, increase the simple syrup to 0.5 oz.
- Use high-quality guava nectar for the best tropical flavor.
- If you do not have simple syrup, mix equal parts sugar and hot water until dissolved, then cool completely.
