Make restaurant-quality garlic butter salmon in just 15 minutes. This easy salmon recipe delivers moist, flaky fish with simple ingredients for a healthy, keto-friendly dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (6 ounce) salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Do not let the garlic brown.
  4. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down (if using skin-on) in the skillet. Sear for 4 to 5 minutes until the skin is crisp.
  5. Flip the salmon fillets. Cook for another 3 to 5 minutes, depending on thickness, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Remove the skillet from the heat. Drizzle the lemon juice over the salmon.
  7. Spoon the garlic butter sauce from the pan over the fillets. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter mixture.
  • This pan seared salmon pairs well with steamed asparagus or a simple green salad.
  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, let the butter and garlic simmer for one minute longer before adding the fish.
