Honey Pineapple Grilled Chicken

A sweet and savory grilled chicken recipe with a honey pineapple glaze, perfect for summer grilling.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix pineapple juice, honey, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, black and salt and salt.
  2. Place chicken breasts in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove chicken from marinade and grill for 6-7 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. Add pineapple chunks to the grill during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
  6. Brush chicken with remaining marinade while grilling.
  7. Serve hot with grilled pineapple on top.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, reserve some marinade before adding it to the chicken and use it as a glaze.
  • If you don’t have fresh pineapple, canned pineapple chunks work too.
  • Marinate chicken for up to 4 hours for deeper flavor.
